MASSIVE BRONZE-AGE SETTLEMENT DISCOVERED UNDERWATER IN GREECE A team of Greek and Swiss underwater archaeologists have discovered the remnants of a Bronze Age Greek village, now covered by the Mediterranean Sea and within sight of the nearby Lambayanna beach, Kiladha Bay on the Peloponnese Peninsula south of Athens. In 2014, archaeologists from the University of Geneva were conducting dive-training exercises off Lambayanna Beach in Greece’s Kiladha Bay when they spotted some intriguing pottery fragments submerged near the shore. When they looked closer, they spotted what appeared to be architectural elements, suggesting the presence of an entire settlement underwater. Divers conducted a meticulous search of the underwater Lambayanna site Now, after conducting a full investigation of the site over the past two months, the researchers have uncovered what appears to be a sprawling, heavily defended city dating as far back as 2500 B.C. Located south of Athens, on the Peloponnese Peninsula, the area around Kiladha Bay is home to many ancient Greek artifacts and settlements. The Greek government strictly regulates diving to prevent the looting of underwater archaeological sites, and the University of Geneva team was training at Lambayanna Beach in 2014 while waiting for authorization to conduct underwater searches nearby. At that time, they spotted the first pottery fragments now linked to a massive settlement submerged beneath the Aegean Sea. In July 2015, the archaeologists returned to the site to conduct a full investigation. Overseen by the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece in collaboration with the Greek Ministry of Culture, the researchers employed the world’s largest solar-powered boat, the PlanetSolar, to aid in their search. The remains of a wall or street in the sunken village. Photo: University of Geneva According to their findings, several buildings can be seen amid the expansive ruins, which stretch over some 12 acres, or the equivalent of around 10 football fields. The buildings appear to be oval or circular in shape, and built in the same style as those known to have been constructed by other Bronze Age civilizations in Greece. More surprisingly, the ruins contain at least three horseshoe-shaped foundations attached to the wall line, which are believed to be the remnants of massive defensive towers of a type unknown elsewhere in Greece. As lead researcher Julien Beck, a professor at the University of Geneva, told Spero News: “The importance of our discovery is partly due to the large size….The chances of finding such walls under water are extremely low. The full size of the facility is not yet known. We do not know why it is surrounded by fortifications.” In addition to these structures, the archaeologists found paved surfaces that appear to be streets, as well as a wide array of pottery and stone tools. Weathered pottery sherds found at Lambayanna beach in the Pelopponese Peninsula of Greece These include obsidian blades that the researchers say date to the Helladic period (3200 to 2050 B.C.), which archaeologists have divided into three phases. In all, the team has found more than 6,000 objects connected with the underwater settlement along the shoreline, making the site, in Beck’s words, “an archaeologist’s paradise.”

An awe-inspiring engineering feat, Dubai Palm Islands is definitely the largest artificial islands on earth. These Islands are three man made islands in the form of massive palm trees connected to the beaches of Dubai. The first island is the Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali Palm second and the third is the Palm Deira which is the biggest of them all. This artificial archipelago located off the coastline of United Arab Emirates in Persian Gulf. Dubai islands project was commissioned by Sheikh Mohammed in an effort to maximize beachfront property. Dubai's palm tree-shaped resort island on land built from the sea will contribute 120 km of beaches. Aside from the construction of the ambitious expansion, there is also the problem of constructing a mini city, which consists of 4,500 high-end residential homes, miles of roads, luxurious hotels and many amenities that will require basic human resources including electricity, safe drinking water and many more. This enormous project will position Dubai as one of the top tourist destinations in the world. I will tell you why these islands have appeared and that they must satisfy. Dubai is an emirate that open sea about 50 km (an estimate) and the sites required for building projects are on the beach. To view course and especially to "park" in front of the yacht's property or even assembly. Well when the beach was not available, and demand persists, the beach had invented. And it appeared artificial islands. Hence so sophisticated forms of the islands: they had to provide a larger opening to the ocean. This new concept quickly caught on. 'Only a' product 'high-end, the latest wrinkle in the most creative developers metropolis. A new source of land, location of the trick of the planet Earth! The job went, the two islands were settled immediately, with mixed development, spectacular, exorbitant, and finally in Dubai's specific style ... In parallel to the World archipelago started building and other projects are still on the drawing board Nakheel, developer. But crisis compels us to winter a little ... Where is the dream of similar islands: In Lebanon, wants to build a cedar shaped islands, the symbol of this country. Russia wants to try an island / an archipelago in Black in Sochi at the 2014 Olympics, at least that is speaking through the past years. Also in Japan there are several large airports built on artificial islands. The Palm Islands are artificial peninsulas constructed of sand dredged from the bottom of the Persian Gulf by the Belgian company Jan De Nul and the Dutch company Van Oord. The sand is sprayed by the dredging ships, which are guided by DGPS, onto the required area in a process known as rain-bowing because of the arcs in the air when the sand is sprayed. The outer edge of each Palm's encircling crescent is a large rock breakwater. The breakwater of the Palm Jumeirah has over seven million tons of rock. The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago (islands) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Major commercial and residential infrastructures will be constructed by Nakheel Properties, a property developer in The UAE. The Belgian and Dutch dredging and marine contractors, Jan De Nul and Van Oord, some of the world's specialists in land reclamation, were hired to complete construction. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira. Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent. The settlements will have a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Islands are located off the coast of The UAE in the Persian Gulf and will add 520 kilometers of beaches to the city of Dubai. The first two islands will comprise of approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand. The Palm Deira will be composed of approximately one billion cubic meters of rock and sand. All materials will be quarried in The UAE. Among the three islands, there will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities and health spas. The creation of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. Shortly after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced and reclamation work began. The Palm Deira is planned to have a surface area of 46.35 square kilometers and was announced for development in October 2004. GC Privé ~ A world of luxury www.gcprive.com

People on Paradise or Planet 4 are not Engineers. The planet David bombed is not the Engineers home wold. Many people have assumed that they are Engineers because at the end of Prometheus Shaw instructed David to take her to the engineer homeworld to obtain the answers. But given that Shaw was put in cryosleep and David always has his own plans, he could go to a completely another planet. Based on that and other evidence from the movie and the Prologue Promo I think that those humanoid beings that David bombed are not Engineers and I have a theory how they relate to humans and the actual engineers that we’ve seen in Prometheus. Ridley also never said they’re not Engineers, he left it quite ambiguous for people to ponder and think. If they were Engineers and David Destroyed them then who’s in the space jockey seat that would be discovered 30 years later. Also, When David lands the Juggernauts, these beings are marveling and excited at the presence of the ship. If you look closely you’ll see a crowd flow out from some kind of temple to a massive arena. They also look slightly different than Engineers, they’re equally bold for some reason but their skin is not as pale and they're are shorter. Also If they were Engineers, they would have countermeasures due to being experienced in the effects of the Goo since it appears that they created the Black Goo in the first place. The inhabitants of the Paradise don’t have any means of protection and when David attacked them They all just ran, confused and unable to grasp what was happening and how they could survive it. The city was noticeably rural and primitive even compared to the current urban architecture not even considering that Engineers are intergalactic and highly advanced species capable of creating life. All this evidence leads to the point that people that David destroyed are completely another race created by Engineers. Possibly their planet is another branch of "humanity" seeded by the engineers just like the earth was. By their appearance, they are genetically closer to Engineers than humans. Inhabitants of Paradise worshiped Engineers and viewed them as their Gods, Pretty much like ancient civilizations on Earth. in their mythologies, it written that a long time ago Gods lived amount ordinary people and ruled them. Gods are also portrayed like giants in Ancient Egypt and other cultures which is so similar to what we See in Prometheus and Alien Covenant. Probably Engineers left the Planet 4 a very long time ago, just like they left Earth and finally after 2000 years the Juggernaut finally arrives and these people celebrate the return of Engineers. But unfortunately it’s David and not their creators. But I think he knew that the Planet was populated by other humanoid species and purposely destroyed it for another reason. Since David is obsessed with killing his creators and the creators of his creators he thought that the Black Goo would not be strong enough as a weapon to whipe out the Engineers. For this reason he decided to make the entire Planet his own laboratory and turn its humanoid inhabitant into lab rats to develop xenomophs an ultimate weapon that would be capable of destroying Engineer and their Planet. It looks like his plan was such full and at the of Alien: Covenant, he has xenomorphs and the entire ship at his disposal. Actually a few days ago, a screenwriter Damon Lindelof who worked with on Ridley Scott , said in an interview that the planet that we see in Alien Covenant is not Engineer home world. It’s not exactly what Damon and Ridley original planned for it and the planet ended up being a detour settlement for what can be actual Engineer home world. There is also one inhabitant that steps out of the crowd when the Juggernauts arrives. Another interesting detail is that there are no Females in the crowd on Paradise. Perhaps their species themselves are engineered. They may not be born or have an entirely different mode of reproduction that is dependent on Engineers. Perhaps they need some version of the Black Goo to reproduce and since Engineers did not appear for hundreds of years, their race was slowly dying off. To the point that there is one city left on the entire planet and its inhabitants celebrated the arrival of Jugernauts because they thought it would literally give them life. If this theory is true, then maybe When David learned the Engineer ways, he also learned about this planet and thought and it would be better to destroy this kind of humanoid race and stop thier slow and painful extinction

I am a student of history and I have tried to give an account of Columbus' journeys that is as close as we can possibly get to the truth. I will I admit that I am not a fan of Columbus. I think he was cruel, even for his time. We cannot judge a 15th-century human from a 21st-century perspective; but even for the 15th century, he was an awful arbiter. Sources: Bergreen, Laurence. The Slovenian-Croatian peninsula of Istria is one of Europe‘s oldest settlement areas, the Pearl Of Adria with an eventful history and much multicultural flair; a rich interface between both Mediterranean and mediaeval cultures. In Koper, Istria’s economic centre and most important harbour city, the Old Town can be entered through the last remaining twelve gates of the city’s former defensive wall. In its heyday the city boomed with wine, oil, salt and fish and many merchants and craftsmen from Italy settled there and the Palazzo Belgramoni Tacco became the region‘s museum. The mediaeval town of Piran is located on a narrow promontory that juts out into Piran Bay like the bow of a ship. On a cliff above the old town is the Sanct George Church, and a bell tower on the town’s fortified walls provides a splendid view of the mainland, a maze of roof tops and the main square. Travelling further south, Poreć is picturesquely situated on a peninsula and City Hall reveals much of its history. In 1267, Poreć, as Istria’s first city, was affiliated to the Serenissima and palaces, squares and religious buildings were constructed. In the fertile countryside lies yet another Istrian gem, Hum, the ‘smallest town in the world’ with its well-preserved gate, cobblestones and single lane. Portorož is the only real resort on the Slovenian Riviera with several hotels lining its waterfront and since the Danube Monarchy it has been a fashionable meeting place of the elite of Central Europe. Istria is a beauty with many faces, a rediscovered Adria dream and an almost forgotten paradise. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/HYQdhg Join us.
